On a perfect summer morning, the sea is like blue rippled silk. I'm pleased to spot a row of towels awaiting their swimmers to return and claim them.

Petrichor
After about 5 weeks of hot sunshine and dry weather, I woke up to the sound of gentle rain pattering on the roof. Imagine my delight at opening the back door and smelling that wonderful scent of wet earth. A short-lived interlude as the rain didn't last more than a few hours; just enough to wet the surface.
