I realise that it is now months since I last posted anything here – where has the time gone? (Mostly on working on a new book idea…)
Anyway, I spent a good day at Exeter Quay with some fellow photographers thanks to the Landscape Group of the RPS, who organised the trip. I have visited more than once before (in January 2021 for example), but this time I spent a bit more time round the canal basin rather than in the sadly depleted boatyard, which used to be a treasurehouse of slowly decaying wooden hulks, but is now home to plastic kayaks in profusion.
So, here are just a few of the images I made during the day. Firstly, more candidates for my “All Wrapped Up” project, as featured last Christmas:
One that made me smile:

and finally, some window shopping, up the canal without a paddle:

(About the image featured at the top: it’s a double exposure of the bridge at Cricklepit and some artfully distressed paintwork on a container on the quay.)
