Photos from the show - fun for all the family.
Every July, we hold a Summer Show at the Uplyme Village Hall and Playing Field. (For 2008 it's the 79th Show, and was held on Saturday, 19th July between 2.00 to 5.00 pm.) Entrance is by donation, and car parking is free.

In the marquee, exhibitors compete for cups and small cash prizes, for fruit, flowers and vegetables, floral exhibits, home produce, photography, and handicrafts.
On the field, you'll find a wide range of horticultural and charity stalls, games and competitions, entertainment by the Arcadia Jazz Band - and of course, the raffle. In the hall, the Royal British Legion, Uplyme Women’s Branch oor the Uplyme WI serve teas, coffees and refreshments.
| 8.00 am | The marquee will open to exhibitors to stage their entries. |
| 10.15 am | The marquee will be closed to exhibitors. |
| 10.30 am | Judging will commence. |
| 2 pm | Show opens |
| 2.00 - 3.30 pm | "Wall-Art" competition in 2 age-groups: free entry in advance using the children's entry forms, or 50p to turn up on the day. Bring old clothes please! Paint a big colourful picture and try for cash prizes. This year, we are only allowing 20 minutes per go, to allow more children to have a turn; in past years, some budding Old Masters hogged an easel for almost the whole time, and we had to turn people away! |
| 2.45 pm | Family Dog Games (fun classes for family pets) |
| 3.15 pm | Children's Races on the field |
| 3.45 pm | Judging of "Wall-Art" competition, followed by prize-giving |
| 4.30 pm | Presentation of Awards and Raffle Draw |
| 5.00 pm | Exhibits may be removed or taken to the auction table |
| 5.15 pm (approx.) | Auction of flowers and produce begins |

Members get a schedule in February/March, but they are not on sale to the general public till June. The schedule contains detailed notes on awards, recipes, judges etc, as well as a full list of the classes that you can enter. It also includes the official entry form on which all entries must be made.
