Membership of the Uplyme & Lyme Regis Horticultural Society costs £4.00 for individuals, or £7.00 for households. This entitles you to free entry to most of our events, no temporary membership fee for trips, and also to some discounts (see below).
To join, you can contact the membership secretary (Mr Tony Cook) at any of our events or through a committee member.
As a member of the Society, all our talks are free, and you get an advance printed copy of the events list, and a free copy of the Schedule for the Summer Show in February/March (only on sale to public from June, cost 50p), which is an essential planning aid if you want to enter any classes.
A discount of 10% on horticultural goods only (excluding compost) can be obtained by showing your membership card at Entwood Farm Plants, Harcombe.
Peat and horse compost are available on collection from Mr A Booth, Mayfield, Lyme Road, Yawl at 10p per bag off current prices.
You can get a 5% online discount on soft fruit, fruit trees, hedging, hedge plants and ornamental trees at Ashridge Trees and Shrubs by using this link: http://store.ashridgetrees.co.uk - there is a special discount code for use only by Society members that you may obtain by emailing the webmaster or asking the secretary at meetings and events. You need to enter the discount code when you make your order.
Royal Horticultural Society: Our affiliation to the RHS allows us two tickets for the Chelsea Show at reduced prices. Please contact the Secretary, who also holds the RHS Show handbook for reference by members.
