We welcome everyone to all our events, whether or not they are members. Why not come along and see what we have to offer? Entry to most meetings is free for members, and only a small charge is made for others. For trips, we have to charge a temporary membership fee to non-members to comply with our insurance

At this meeting, the Regal pelargonium plants for the Summer show (class 38) will be distributed; price £1 each. |
| April 23rd (Wednesday) | Axminster departure | Coach outing to Bicton Arboretum with Axminster Horticultural Society (see below for details). |
| May 1st (Thursday) | from Uplyme Village Hall car park | Evening visit to Forde Abbey Gardens, plant centre and gift shop. Entry £5.95. Optional pub supper. Meet at Village Hall at 5.20pm for 5.30pm departure. Phone Sue Brunner by Wednesday 23rd April to confirm if you wish to take part. |
| May 10th (Saturday) 10:00 - 11.30am | Uplyme Village Hall | Bring and Buy Spring Plant Sale Entrance 50p; refreshments. Lots of specially-raised plants for your summer bedding and vegetable plot - at very reasonable prices, plus a wide range of perennials and shrubs grown by members. Some trade stalls. Please bring your own spare plants/seeds/gardenalia along to help the Society's funds.

| June 21st - 22nd (Saturday-Sunday) | Axminster Showground | Axe Vale Festival of Gardening and Crafts. Popular local show with displays, trade stands, food and of course exhibition classes for flowers and produce; also crafts, photography, home cooking, etc. No details I could find on the web, but schedules are available from local venues including Mole Avon, Axminster. Entry is not cheap, so make sure you get there early (no reduction for latecomers.) |
| July 19th (Saturday) 2-5pm | Uplyme Village Hall and on cricket field | Summer Show - our 79th show!
Note earlier date again this year - to avoid clashing with the Axmouth show.
On the field, charity and plant stalls, family dog games, races and a painting competition for children, musical entertainment. In the hall, refreshments and a chance to rest your legs! This is our biggest event of the year, and you can see some photos of a previous show as a taster. Printed schedules are available from local shops from June (members get theirs in February / March), and include the official entry form for show entries, which must be submitted by the Wednesday before. Entry to the field by donation; free car-parking. |

| September 6th (Saturday) 2-4pm | Uplyme Village Hall | Autumn Show and Craft Demonstration. Free entry to classes for Autumn flowers: dahlias, chrysanthemums, roses, hydrangeas etc: why not have a look in your garden and see what you have got? Other classes for fruit, vegetables, cookery and floral exhibits.

| October 21st (Tuesday) 2pm | from Uplyme Village Hall car park | Afternoon visit to Mapperton. Entry £4 for garden and £4 for house (optional), tea room will be open. Non-members welcome - £1 temporary membership fee. Shared cars from Village Hall; 1pm meet for 1:15pm departure. Please phone Sue Brunner by Monday 13th October to confirm if interested. |

Unless otherwise stated, talks are free for members, and 50p entry for non-members.
Anyone interested in joining the coach outings should pick up a form from Uplyme Store, or ask for one at any Society meeting.
Prices, timings and meeting details are given on the form.
These trips are usually well supported and early booking is essential. Pick-up will usually be in Axminster (use public car parks). Car sharing to the pick-up point can be arranged so don't let the lack of transport keep you at home.
